TREATS-my Brewing THE RISE poem and a dark bloom-worthy song to match the mood-blog by meanro-megan antoinette rojer

When the call for creation (& action) arises, one must answer. Or at least that’s what I think. It’s through these inner callings (some call it intuition or gut feelings) that things just flow out from you. In these moments I feel as though I am the most connected with something divine, a force. The creative flow. I’ve been doing much better at dotting down my thoughts, ideas & artistic expression, and I feel I should continue to do so digitally as well. In life’s ups-and-downs roller coaster ride of a lifetime, I find peace (and purpose (and passion (and understanding))) in my creative expressions.

Below you will find a glimpse of one such moment when in the wee hours of the day, when the birds were starting to fill the spaces with their song, the urge to pick up the call to write overcame the inkling to press snooze and keep dreaming. Scroll on to discover my Brewing THE RISE poem & a new tune to add to your music library hehe.

Brewing THE RISE

Been sweetening up my morning routine
Lately as I decorate my normal black
Coffee with milk and honey and spices
Reinventing the (sun)rise from darkness
A balancing act – twirling and swirling
A performance even – to exist in both
Forms as one creation ready for revelation

-MEANRO, Megan Antoinette Rojer

“… whoever you are, or whatever it is that you do, when you really want something, it’s because that desire originated in the soul of the universe. It’s your mission on earth.”

The Alchemist, Paulo Coelho (1988)

The following is a song called Lucretia My Reflection by The Sisters of Mercy that I discovered a few weeks ago while enjoying my morning cup of Joe. Apparently it was first published back in 1987. I was listening to this song as I was writing this poem and I feel as though it absolutely matches that blooming-from-within-dark-spaces/regeneration/taking back & re-owning your power kind of energy.

My end note on this random (or not, if you believe in the divinely orchestrated is that…) I feel like life’s a dance between dark and light and everything in between.
