Welcome to the world of @meanro, and let me(anro) introduce you and the interwebs (aka the internet) to MEANRO.com: a virtual place where fashion, film, art – celebrating life and creativity – and personal style dominate. This new website is where I will be sharing insights on creative projects of which I have either conceptualised myself, or collaborated with in some way or another. This will also be home to original blogs created by me, either about my own fashion and style journey, lifestyle, or the arts. Share-worthy and aesthetically-pleasing content will also be shared via the EYE CANDY page, because I’m a big believer in “sharing is caring”!
A Need for Prioritising Consistent Creativity
For quite some time now I’ve been feeling like I’m missing an outlet to push myself to be actively creative. When I was in college studying Theatre Arts & Creative Writing I truly enjoyed being invested in exploring my artistic side. After graduating, I felt like that was missing, especially when I moved back to my home island, Aruba. I would do small projects here and there, or partake in art workshops from time to time, but I wanted a platform for me to be able to express myself, creatively, fearlessly, and consistently.
Aside from needing a more personal outlet to express myself, I’ve had numerous people ask me why I don’t have a personal style blog since fashion seems to be a natural interest for me. I really enjoy putting together outfits, aka styling myself, on the daily. Through my personal style, I would get my moments of creative expression, but I needed more.
Thus, the idea of MEANRO.com was born.

Fashion
I dress up for myself on the daily, and I love it! Whether its putting together an outfit for a special event, or going to the supermarket, or even for a car ride (LOL), it’s not uncommon for me to have multiple outfits in one day. My style depends a lot on my mood, and what can I say? I have a plethora of moods and style preferences, and I’m totally OK with being ‘extra’ and switching things up midday. Blogs under the ‘Fashion‘ category include, but are not limited to the following topics: style and fashion (personal and inspiration), beauty looks, trends, ideas & tips.
Creative Living
I never outgrew the need for playtime, and I’m happy I didn’t, because each day feels like a new adventure when you ask yourself: how can I make this experience more enjoyable and fun? My lifestyle is very fun-loving based and smiling is central. Blogs under the ‘Creative Living‘ category include, but are not limited to the following topics: celebrations, food + drink, colorful and plant-based cooking, wellness, and the mind.
Art
Art makes my world go round (and I’m sure yours too): seeing it, being inspired by it, creating it… I find that art can help enhance your experiences in life, and help reveal things that simply put: words cannot seem to explain. Blogs under the ‘Art‘ category include, but are not limited to the following topics: film, music, performing arts, visual arts, must-watch recommendations, artists, creative works, and art workshops.
