Tiska Sen is the title of a fashion collection, of which Hilyann Croes, Natusha Croes & I, designed a series of garments, shot the videoart for the visuals of the show, and coordinated the fashion show production. I was sixteen when we worked on this project for the 2010 Gang di Arte youth art competition. Notable is that the official theme for the competition that year was time. Hilyann & Natusha, along with their father, Hildward Croes, took lead on producing the sound for this project.
This was a very creatively hands-on experience, and my first time organizing a fashion production. There was a lot of girl power going on during this project which was truly enjoyable and definitely helped make memories for a lifetime.
Fashion Show’s Runway Visuals & Sound:
The name selected, ‘Tiska’ meaning ‘Fashion’ in Icleandic, and ‘Sen’ meaning ‘Dream’ in Polish, was also the theme for the collection: exploring the idea of fashion in dreams.
