Fine Wines and Fringe for H&H’s Store Opening

H&H Fine Wines and Spirits said ‘Welcome’ with a toast of delectable vino to Aruba as they opened their doors for business on November 9th, 2019. The top accessory of the day was a glass of wine thanks to the hosts, Bobby & Govert. Notable is that H&H is the sister company of Arion Wine Company, who have been specialising in wine wholesale business for quite some years now in Aruba. H&H Fine Wines and Spirits is (if I’m not mistaken) Aruba’s only specialised wine boutique with a fully stocked setup of wines and vintages from all around the world. Hats off to the Hosts

The event started out-front with cocktail tables, string lights, and an uber cute white and cherry-red Volkswagen van with bartenders prepping drinks and serving them to welcome the guests. Followed by a lovely speech from the hosts and ribbon-cutting as the hosts welcomed everyone to take a look inside.

My outfit for this celebratory evening included a black felt hat, a knitted white mock turtleneck top, a fringe hem midi skirt, clear see-through purse, gold dangle hearts necklace, and black platform heeled sandals.

It was truly a delightful store opening with many smiling attendees, and servers who were eager to help keep everyone’s glasses half full (read: proper-wine-pour-full), and also make sure you were indulging in hors d’oeuvres. I had a great time full of interesting convos and fun laughs.

Supporting my Sommelier in Platform Sandals

Why was I at this wine opening in the first place? No it’s not because the owners know I really love wine and invited me (LOL), it was actually to go out and support my BF. Chesly’s a Junior Sommelier and he’s one of Arion’s Sales Representatives. So, I stepped out in sky-high shoes (read: 5inch heels) to celebrate the ever-growing wine loving community on the island and show support for my own personal somm.

Cheers to growing Aruba’s wine industry and providing wine lovers with a new favourite place for retail therapy!

*side-note: They also have wine-related gifts and original cards with various prints in Papiamento, such as: Pabien (eng: “Congrats”) and Masha Danki (eng: “Thank You Very Much”). Something that I found quite unique, especially for those of you who like to give fun gifts.
