Seizing the Day in Self-made Pants

Say hello to the second pair of pants I’ve ever sewn! I like to call these ‘the Jungle Jams’ since the fabric is as soft as PJs and also because of the print which has snake and tiger mixed into it. Originally sewn for a sewing project during the 2018/2019 school year where I was taking sewing and fabric courses at night after work, three times a week.

The image above was taken by one of my awesome sewing instructors, Benita Maduro. This was right after I finished sewing the pants (actually both pants and crop top were sewn by me, but we didn’t take pics of the top before so I put it on here too).

Not sure why I don’t have a picture of the back of these pants, because -and I don’t mean to sound full of myself but- these pants are SUPER flattering for the booty. Hehe. Their comfy, flattering, and funky. Definitely planning on making more of these in the future.

One of my first outings with my self-made pants: a work day where I went to lunch at the artsy and vegan-friendly cafe, BAZ-RRR Galleria & Brasserie. This was part of a more boho and comfy outfit I wore for work. Seen here eagerly waiting for my yummy lunch at BAZ-RRR. Ahhh I can picture it perfectly…their vegan portabella mushroom burger on a pretzel bun, with a side of their iconic and fresh, sweet potato wedges. Can’t forget their bomb-diggity mango salsa. So good!
